The aroma of fresh pineapple, and a strong presence of clementines as well as big juicy navel oranges, all accented by some lovely resinous notes. Flavor morphs into bags and bags of over-ripe orange, more pineapple, and resin to round out this beer making it not overly sweet. This high-octane winter special goes down easy and keeps us coming back for more.”
  • Varietal Beer Co – TPK Triple IPA. “You’re going to need to level up to handle this year’s batch of TPK Triple IPA. Brewed in collaboration with D&D-loving friends from Portland’s TPK Brewing, this epic IPA takes an attack of opportunity at 10.5%, with a very balanced bitterness and finished with Chinook, Simcoe & Citra Cryo Hops for a bright citrus & sweet tropical fruit cocktail flavor!”
  • Watts Brewing – Murder Hornet. 10.2% ABV. Murder Hornet is the biggest, meanest IPA we’ve brewed to date, clocking in at 10.2% ABV.  Despite the high gravity, this beer is dry as a bone, with the malt getting the heck out of the way of all these hops. We packed the whirlpool to the brim with Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, and Idaho 7 hops, then dry-hopped it with the same.

This time around we were free to make whatever IPA we wanted, so long as it had at least 50 IBUs. So we got out that old IBU measuring device covered with years of malt dust from not measuring or hopping IPAs during the long-forgotten days of the Hazy/Juicy IPA era. Aggressive Prius is a big Hazy Double IPA packed full of Citra, Mosaic, Azacca and Galaxy hops. It has a slightly resinous aroma with a massive fruit packed punch. It sits at 7.5% ABV.
  • Wandering Hop Brewing –  Wandered Off – Our yearly Northwest Triple IPA brewed to showcase to balance between malt, hops and a high alcohol content. A generous bittering addition gives it a Northwest to the Core flavor that pairs great with the huge dry hop of Citra and Mosaic. This year’s batch is a deceiving 9.5% ABV.
  • Watts Brewing – Il Sicula, Wheat Session IPA – 4.7% ABV. He may be small, but don’t cross Il Sicula, or you may end up with a hop cone lodged between your third and fourth rib.  Capisce?  Il Sicula (the Sicilian) is a session-strength wheat IPA featuring Comet, Ella, and Mosaic hops which, when paired with the robust mouthfeel of wheat, produce a 4.7% ABV beer that punches well above its weight.
